What is IV therapy?

IV therapy consists of delivering a solution of minerals and vitamins directly to the blood stream through an IV drip. Your nurse technician at Dr. Sturm’s Spa will advise on what kind of therapy is ideal for you, depending on your personal needs, and the solution is then delivered directly through a small catheter in your arm. The process typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

How does IV therapy work?

As nutrients are directed straight into the cells through the blood, they are utilized more effectively by the body. The result is a range of benefits including an increase of energy levels, boosting the immune system, optimizing health and wellbeing, and rehydrating the system.

Who should use IV therapy?

Everybody! Anyone can benefit from IV therapy but it’s especially useful for those who want to speed up recovery from a cold or flu, are dehydrated, or are looking to boost their energy and support skin health.

What should I do before/after my IV therapy?

You should try and avoid alcohol 24 hours before your IV therapy to avoid bruising and bleeding. As nicotine can constrict your veins you should also avoid vaping or smoking in any form as it can make it difficult for your practitioner to find IV access. After your treatment, you can take STURM INSIDE supplements depending on your needs to maintain the elevated levels of vitamins and nutrients from the drip.

How fast should I see results?

Depending on which infusion you choose results will vary. If your goal is to treat hangover symptoms or boost hydration you will feel the results as soon as 45 minutes after your treatment. For heightened energy levels and detoxification, you may notice the effects within four days to two weeks of your treatment. If you are trying to boost your metabolism or improve your skin, it may take up to three weeks.
